In my opinion, it didn't really “suck” but it wasn't mind blowingly great either. I gave it a “meh”.

Heavy Metal
Heavy Metal 2000
Saw 3D
RED

Heavy Metal - Mainly watching this again for nostalgic reasons. Been years since the last time I watched it and I happened to run across my copy so I plopped it into the 360. Just as good as I remember it being.

Heavy Metal 2000 - First time watching this. I have traditionally avoided this movie primary due to my friends telling me (in comparison to the first movie) this one wasn't that good. While definitely not the best movie I have ever seen, it isn't the worst. Besides. Has Michael Ironside in it as a villian which is a pretty much automatic win in my book.

Saw 3D - Meh. First one was still the best. While I did see the ending coming…I didn't see it coming until the last 20 minutes of the movie. Was very disappointed in this movie after how the last one ended.

RED - I rather much liked RED. While very different that the comic it was based on it was funny and had some ridiculous action…and John Malkovich acting like a crazy man…so it was fun

A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge

#1 is great but Dream Warriors is still my favorite Freddy movie of all time.

I've never seen either of the Heavy Metal movies. I really have to at some point. You telling me that Michael Ironside is in #2 really spurs me to see both a bit more. Ironside rocks, whether as a villain or a hero (Starship Troopers, for ex.).

Saw #1 was innovative but #2 sucked. Don't know anything about the rest.

RED looked vaguely interesting to me but I just haven't bothered to actually see it. One thing that annoyed me about it was the title. I know it stands for “Retired, Extremely Dangerous”, but shouldn't they tell me this in the title itself (“R.E.D. - Retired, Extremely Dangerous”, or somesuch)?

I hate when a movie has a “cryptic” title. What the hell is RED about? A primary color? If I hadn't seen the trailer, how the heck am I supposed to know?

I love Dream Warriors too, it's my second favorite one after New Nightmare.
