Law of trilogies

OK, there are a lot of trends in movies that me and my coworkers were pointing out the other day. For example, when there are only two movies, the seccond one almost always isn't as good as the first one. But then what about trilogies? Like the Jurasic Park trilogy, the first one was great, the second one blew donkey balls and I walked out of the theater, but then the third one turns out better than the second. So in my opinion, if they made a GB3, it would do better than GB2.

Any one have any examples to support or disprove my theory?

I never seen the second Jurassic Park, first one was good, thrid was ok. Scream 1 was awesome, 2 sucked, 3 was good. I love both Ghostbusters movies in there own ways, a 3rd movie will be awesome either way.

Well, Back To The Future was great, Back To the Future part II was great, Number 3 was okay. Jurassic Park 3 was way worse than the first two. I have my doubts about GB3, but i'd still like to see it.

I think just because of the time they've waited in between them that this one will be fine money wise, b/c i feel people will go see it just out of curiosity now.. i think it'd be fine..

Yeah Aliens was better then Alien, Alien 3 was ok, but Alien Resseruction wasnt all that good…

i think a GB3 would be good, look all of the money the first two brought in, The second movie did do very well, despite what most people think, i dont think they could pull off another statue of liberty play in the third one though…
