Let's see… My major in college is English.
My other languages include the following: (note, all “years” are 2 full semesters. I passed all of these semesters.)
5 (painful) years of Latin
3 (better) years of German
2 (hellish) years of Greek
1 year of Hebrew
and
21 years of learning Bad English and ebonics from everyone else.
I try to use proper english. I try to correct myself whenever I can.

with some people it isn't that bad. the only people who have trouble with english were the board abusers who almost didn't make any sense to me.
