Length of a fan fic

Is there a minimum and a maximum for how long a fan fic can be? Some of mine can be really short or really long.

Nope. I've seen some incredibly short, and incredibly long ones.

The only problem is, you might get rated lower with shorter stories, because apparently some people are bothered with length. Usually it doesn't bother me. Just as long as the story's good, I don't care how long it is, and I will usually rate accordingly.

Boy, I killed this thread.

I'm sure someone else has an opinion on how long they like fics to be.

But to reiterate, there's no actual limits.

when reading them if it is only a page or 2 it is a waste of time, but if it is long enough to be a novel then id get bored and look at something else. it should be the length of lets say maybe a episode of the real ghostbusters, at least. i mean that in time, a good half hour read is great. its long enough to develop and take shape and even end properly, but not too long as to waste some ones time. im not sure how a 1/2 hour would translate onto paper, but you get the idea

I've seen some very shorts one liek GhostBusters at Burkettsville but i ‘ve heard account of some fan fictions that were so long they couldn’t post half of it.

I suppose thiry pages is really long? I just finished my seventh story last night. I think it's one of my better ones. But the fan fic I posted the other day is still pending so I assume that will take a long time. I'm only going to put them up one at a time.

Well, this format can do a copy/paste of a 30-page story at a time. You might want to check the end of it to see if it cut off.
