I was at Hollywood video yesterday and saw on the videogames coming soon sign…none other than Ghostbusters. The release date was October 14th. I asked the girl about it and she said that that was the release date that they recieved a week and a half ago. Not to mention that the preorder price is 5 dollars. Said they were told to start taking preorders. I don't think they would do that if they didn't know for sure soething was coming out soon.

That is awesome! There is still hope that Ghostbusters will come out this year!

I asked one of my local GameStops yesterday if they knew when the game was being released. They said October but they didn't know the exact date.

My GameStop kept saying that as well. Honestly, I can only hope that they're all right, but when it comes to game sellers, I won't exactly hold my breath.

I just wish we could get some official news on this situation.

I also pre ordered the game in a game store. They told me that they had it on the release list for october 24.

We only can hope for it.

been looking at GAME online and release date is 01/03/2009…not good! jeesh.

Until we hear officially from an announcement from the Sony any dates given by the stores more or less cannot really be trusted for the simple fact that they are 3rd party sources.

The fact that they're taking preorders means nothing. GameStop has been taking preorders since we first heard about the game.

thats funny. the gamecrazy website says Dec 12 08. so that means the release date that they gave you is in fact new!

There is an update on www.valoom.com to a release date of 10/21/2008. As soon as the date changes from the studio/distributor, the date change will be reflected on the site. You can always check daily, as the moment it is updated on the the studio's side, it is changed on the site within a few hours, once word is passed down.
