Maybe a new release date

Agreed. It doesn't make sense to release a demo 6+ months before a game is scheduled to be released. Perhaps this was in the queue and nobody at Microsoft caught it? I could be very wrong, but I'm going to err on the side of logic until I hear something substantial.

It's a little bit of stretch to think it could be a mistake. Not saying you are wrong…just yet…but if this was mistake it is a BIG mistake and a weird one at that. If it was wrong, why release that banner in the first place? I don't think they are automatically programmed in and if they are, I am sure someone would have removed it by now. This is the puzzling part.

The time at which thing are done is inconsistent and we are being thrown in circles. So much so that even a simple rumor could be considered true by the fan base.

As like you Chad, I am holding my judgment for the time being until something real really pops up somewhere. Something definitive that cannot be proven wrong. 2008 release? I want it, but I am not going to hold me breath. 2009 release? Okay, but it better be sooner and not later.

This is worse than Bigfoot sightings. People have evidence of Bigfoot and yet no one believes it is proof that it does exist quite yet despite the footage, footprints, and “hair samples” I guess.

Right now I will sit back, count my blessings, and hopefully something good will come.

If you mean the banner, it appears as if it already has been removed as I don't see it at all (of course I don't even see Force Unleashed's ad either - yeah, I've been watching the menus for a while and switching around).

It seems apparent to me that the Ghostbuster demo that was at ComicCon is going to be released probably this Thursday.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Lego: Batman were also games that were in the “Out This Week” advertisement and I know for a fact that SW: TFU has its demo coming out on Thursday. And since Lego: Batman is supposed to be released the week after SW:TFU, then it stands to reason that it too will be a demo out this week.

Thus, it's a pretty safe assumption to say that the Ghostbuster demo will be released. No reason to think anything else. It's already completed and since it's not something that is being sold, I don't see why the developer can't submit it to XBox for download.

Umm…well not in that sense. What I mean is if the XBL banners are set automatically in a database. Let me give and example: Developer A said make a banner for Week X cause we will release a demo for Day B, X time from now. To put it in this terms. Terminal Reality told XBL to put up a banner in June (or whatever) to get ready for the demo release this week's Thurday's date. Not a real scenario, but just for example purpose.

I highly doubt these banners are from an automatic database that automatically update XBL marketplace at specific time set. So they can set any banner any time and make it go up when they told the computer to put it up automatically instead of having to update every day.

I think the XBL marketplace is updated ever so often and seeing how it has been a while since ActivisionBlizzard dropped GB you think stuff like this would have been changed by now. The trailers changed to “Coming soon” or something; These banners taken off if it wasn't true that the game was being released this year.

It's been too long of time and too common knowledge for a mistake like this to happen. I mean, would you, a common person like everyone else, make that kind of mistake with the knowledge you know? It's too fishy….this is some chicanery.

I guess we'll see next time the 360 deal updates. Hopefully its a demo, cause if it is a demo, the game hopefully can't be far behind.

Even if it is a long time off, a demo would at least help tide people over.

Although I doubt we'll see a demo anytime soon.

I can't imagine a demo anytime soon. I feel like no one knows what's going on with the game's release. We probably know as much as Randal and French.

I have been getting this vibe lately of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing

We probably know as much as Randal and French.

I unfortunately agree…it's really sad

You'd be surprised how amazingly mundane the truth is.
