My Ghostbusters 3 logo

Hi Fellow Ghostheads,

I have posted a couple of times, but just thought I'd formerly introduce myself to the board, hi! I've been around for a while, and only registered after lurking for ages.

Um, I've been fiddling around and came up with a G3 logo. I have tried to please both the modernists and the purists of the forums. By going for the original no-ghost logo, fatso and updating it. (Forgive me if it's been done, I didn't find many other G3 logos.)
It will probably be tweaked for a final, though I thought i'd sure this with fellow members of the board.

So here it is:



Any thoughts and criticism welcome. (I know about the hand problem, but isn't really noticeable unless you're really picky!)

So whaddya think?

I'm no good with graphics or anything but I think that's really cool (^_^)
Only crit would be if you could possibly make the logo a little more clear with the 3…but I think that's really cool!!

It's certainly a refreshing change from the ‘three finger’ logo thats flown about here enough times…

Its very cool, nice job. I would maybe shorten the cross part of it to make the red look more like a three. Sure it would show more of Fatso, but it might look better.

Thanks for your positive feedback guys, I know I'm dicing with death by messing with a popular icon, surprised I wasn't burned at the stake!!
I thought it was quite a good concept (even if I do say so myself lol!) but at least it's the original no-ghost which will be recognised immediately, then you notice the 3!

Not sure what you meant cheese, but I added a glow behind the 3 to highlight it a bit.

Nice idea Doc, looks quite good, I wanted to keep as much of the original logo as poss, so left most of the cross part in, but yer right looks more of a 3 now.

Looking good, glad you took my idea of shortening it, it definitely looks more like a 3 now. The glow looks pretty cool, try changing it to the traditional light blue glow around the letters, as seen on the homepage logo.

Done and done! What was I thinking with the yellow? (probably because it was the default colour in the program)

I think we have a winner, thanks for the input Doc! I think I'll go ahead and print this on a shirt for me and my bro, I wanna see if there's some interest around and start some chins wagging!

Hmm, the glow seems a little odd, are you using Photoshop? If so there's an option where you can create two-tone or multi tone glows, so you can have the blue glow with the white highlighted edge.

Actually I think all of those ideas are great!! I like it!! It way better that other ideas I've seen!!

The glow seems odd because I did a quick colour replace feature in photoshop, I didn't have time to redo it (I was at work at the time hehe)
I'll do an updated one later, but I'm more interest in the one without the glow for now
So it gets the nod from fellow ghostheads, both modernists and purists? It's not like it's official, just an idea.
