My ideal cast for new GB recruits.

Kal Penn.
Simon Pegg.
Danielle Harris (“Halloween 4 & 5” and “Halloween 2007”). (Gotta have a female GB)
Ving Rhames.
Aaron Yoo (Friday The 13th 2009).
Huge Jackman.
Skeet Ulrich.

This new movie should be about the old GBs who open up a training school for new GBs and join along with them for one last round of busting ghosts before retiring from being GBs to be teachers.

Huge Jackman.

Aiming a tad too high having Jackman on the list.

Wrong Aussie actor.

You know I have been so against a “new group” being featured in Ghostbusters 3 and reviewing your list I have finally figured out why.

Well, first I love the old guys and think that they would be great in another film alone. I think it would be fun to watch them busting as they get older… a lot of “I’m getting to old for this” lines would be fun. I don’t think they are too old by the way.

And don’t get me wrong I would love to see many more sequels but my problem is that I could totally see a new group of Ghostbusters but not along side the old gang. I mean that I could see a “Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson” group or any group as Ghostbusters but I just think that their brand of comedy would be too different to be working along side the originals.

Does that make sense? I feel like I’m not explaining it well but I just think you can’t mix styles of comedy like that in one movie. Maybe it can be done.

ok for me it would obviously be the originals as for the new team
Simon Pegg… love shawn of the dead
Anne Hathaway… great actress and something nice to look at ;D
Ethan Embry… Freaky Links great show
Matt LeBlanc as the new team leader
Aries Spears… damn he is funny
I dont know just my thoughts

Never seen Embry or Spears, so I can't comment on them.

But LeBlanc and Hathoway I can buy, he's portrayed a New Yorker easily for a decade, and he showed he could do competant with Lost in Space.

Plus, he isn't just the “hottest thing in Hollywood this month”.

Ving Rhames is an interesting choice. I like it. Not crazy about the rest but I'd be cool with Rhames.

My pick, since Dan Ackroyd has been quoted saying that Oscar Barrett would be featured? Two words: Michael Cera. Think about it! He's around the right age, he's hysterical, and he even looks similar to the musician in the first movie (who I always presumed was the father of Oscy). Well? Can I get an “Amen”?

My only critique about Cera is, why does he have to be “hysterical”? He doesn't have to have a comedic background.
