I love the way the rookie in the game kicks down the doors. It's look so sweet especially when you just….dare I say….bust in there? (pun intended)
Even in the playr TV version when the narrator says “Who are you going to call when a sky scraper type marshmellow monster is stomping around all over your city? As every child of the 80s should know, you're going to need to call the Ghostbusters.”
Just gives me chills everytime.

Yea, pretty much.
The Ghostbusters kicked doors down all the time in RGB, and kicking a door down is a very common occurrence in movies and video games, particularly if the person doing the kicking works as a sort of rescue profession.
I don't see how kicking a door down is a reference to Family Guy, given that its a very common thing.
