Activision's buying blizzard?!?!?! :-O As a world of warcraft player… this could be bad.

Microsoft has announced it's “Bringing It Home” E3 initiative which starts on Monday July 14th. Through Xbox Live, gamers will be able to download various content from E3, including game trailers, news from the show floor, interviews, gamerpics, themes and demos.

So hopefully this means possibly a new Game Trailer, maybe even a demo, and possibly… maybe… hopefully even Ghostbusters Gamepics and Themes ( aka Backgrounds ) to use on the X Box.

Ya. That was announced in December of '07 that it was going down. Activision will be merging with Vivendi Games (current owners of Blizzard) and that the new company will be called Activision Blizzard.

Since the deal closed finally on the 9th of this month…maybe I should stop referring to it as a future development.

If it makes you feel any better Zuul, though being the same company, both Blizzard Entertainment and Activision will still operate as seperate companies.

Hee, the first Activision game I owned was Ghostbusters II for the Atari ST. This all seems rather fitting to me!
