IGN also has a look at the Wii version:

Just watched those pics on PC, but… who is the player we play? he has blond hair… is it a new recruit too?

It seems that it is the new recruit because it says that you get to choose whether your character is Male or FeMale.

The New Recruit in those pictures seem to be a Female. Also, it looks like the option will be only for the Wii, since we have yet to see any pictures from the XBOX 360 version that shows the recruit as a Female.

I love the stylized wii characters!!! I thought that the big blond haired character was an homage to RGB Egon.

Just seen some in-game footage of this on G4TV who have a run through of the game with producer Ryan French. .

IGN also have a hands-on and were also impressed.

I'm glad they decided to bring back the angle head flashlight… the Ion Arm mounted one, whilst a nice reference to the Slime Blower, just didn't do it for me like that one does.

Also a nice detail: A LifeGuard from Ghostbusters II on Egon's belt.

Was nice to see some close up shots of the guys. I'm extremely impressed by the character models and you know, the more I see it, the more I love the addition of the slime tank on the pack.

I am still up in the air about the proton pack. Both the pack and the wand look really busy. Nevertheless, I guess that fits with the spirit of the ghostbusters' equipment. Pun intended. (*peter)

oh, i love it having an actual Slime Blower nozzle. Any nods to GB2 make me happy, as so many things like to retrofit it out of the picture.

So yeah, the lifesaver, the nozzle and the stripes on Ecto 1 = ok by me.

The game is shaping up to be awesome…I cannot wait. I hope it blows the other games coming out around the same time out of the water…that would be awesome…but I would be happy with just positive reviews all around..

*You forgot that they FINALLY added the circuit board attachment to their belts as well (*peter) :-) (^_^) …

*Though, as said before the packs are abit to “busy” for me as well…It'll grow on me in time I'm sure…And I'm also not sure if the traps are now wireless, as there has been no footage of them using them with the pedals/cords that I've seen (*ray)…

*The Ectomobile is still a wash though [I read somewhere it is to be the "Ecto-1B"?!] (*egon) …And the PKE, while looking GREAT in the original footage of Egon chasing Slimer in the Sedgewick Hotel, subsequent screenshots featuring said device have been sorely lacking :-@…

*Cheers.

I did, odd. The attention to detail is great, though… they've really done their homework.

It seems they may have been made ‘wire’ for convenience, so they don't need to make it have a pedal as well that could get knocked about and drag the Trap around if hit by debris…

I've only heard “Ecto-1B” once so far, so until I see it in a official capacity that's a fan name for the car. I concur over the PKE, I liked the design as first seen in those first shots of the Ghostbuster in the halls of the Sedgewick… however, at least the whole front of the meter isn't the screen like some of the preview videos of recent… it's now half screen and half blinking LEDs that resemble the red and yellow buttons on the from of the film PKE.
