About the replay value of the game, I think that we, the real fans, will love to play it over and over again… enjoy every detail, every little thing that make it the so-loved long-awaited videogame… I believe, that, this game, will be like BioShock, a great game with every little detail that makes it a whole experience.
I love playing BioShock and watching the old fashioned 60s style on every room, clothes and music, and that creepy environment gives it the reason to play it over and over again.

Twenties style, surely?

Bioshock is set in an aleternate reality, mid 1960's. You actually see a new years banner for 1959 but years could have passed up to when the plane crashes and you fall foul of all the splicers and whatnot! I'm absolutely buzzing at the prospect of this game now, in fact I've come out of hibernation to post (for the first time in a few months - anyone miss me…no? thought not!)

Anyone else keep watching the E3 trailer with a big grin?

Personally i cant watch any of the new videos WITHOUT a huge grin on my face. :-)

anyone have a theory on why Venkman isnt showing up until later in the game it seems? Ray says twice he wishes Venkman was here in the library demo, where'd he go? i'm just spitballing here.

Being that we know he's in the early level involving Stay Puft and saving the new damsel in distress, it actually makes me wonder if we're out to save Venkman. Like maybe he gets pulled into the other dimension that we end up traveling to or something.

So, this is officially my first post. I have been coming to this website for about three years, and thus far not contributed once. I have read many of your posts and I have always felt the obvious connection between us all, the calling of “Who you gonna call?”

With that said, I couldn't have found a better time to rejoice and finally join that with the release of both a game, and the dvd release of RGB. This forum, for a lack of a better word, has always been like the text based wet dream of mine, I pop on at least once a day to keep my hopes up for a future in this awesome IP, and now we have it.

But onto the matter at hand, the game. I know that many have worried about both quality, replayability, and other things that are extremely important to us who have been waiting nearly twenty years for a third movie, or anything, (we are loyal, but needy fans, who can blame us) but I assure that this game will be everything and more. I am sure that with the IP starting up again like this, if the game sells very well, which I have no doubt it will, we will see the nuclear accelerators powering up once more for this aged but awesome franchise.

I can only imagine it, but if it goes well for Sierra Games we will see a sequel, which will continue to be bigger and better, we all know that this is Dan's baby, and for Harold its his mature stepson that he loves equally. Sierra will make a gain, as will Sony due to it being the parent company, if they see it as a viable IP, we may see our Silver Screen dream a reality.

Hang in there, October is only a Stay Puft Marshmallow mans leap away. (*_*)

you know i was thinking the exact same thing. its either that or he ran off with the damsel (alyssa apparantly) as is in his characters history.

Yikes. Over at NeoGaf, a person who works in the gaming industry had a hands on with the game at Comic Con. How did he feel after playing the demo? Not impressed. He's also a Ghostbusters fan. I'm not expecting a big budget AAA game, but as long as the game doesn't get repetitive and there are unique gameplay scenarios, then I'll be happy.

as has been said before as many times as i have watched the vids of someone else playing, i dont think i'll get tired of this game for a long time. we have all had to wait for too long, and for me to not want to play it over and over, would make no sense.

That was also just one guy who thought it was too hard to capture the ghost, there have been many other gamers who have really liked the game. You can't please everybody and there are bound to be a few people who don't like it but in general I think if you don't nitpick you will enjoy things a lot more. It's my personal opinion that people complain too much about things (movies, games, etc) and that they are missing the point. To me if a movie entertained me at all then it was okay.

But back to the game another comment made by different user said that the dialogue wasn't well written or delivered, and that is just a crock. Any ghosthead knows that the lines in the demo were spot on for the characters and the acting was perfect. I especially liked Aykroyd's enthusiasm about everything, very much in character. People just need to relax and enjoy things instead of nitpicking them to death (*egon) But everyone is entitled to their opinion.
