I was just wondering… I mean, whetever people think it's good or bad. It shows the producers care about the other (new) characters, too. They're casting celebrities instead of no names not only for the main guys.
I think that's a wonderful thing, even if you don't like her too much…

isn't it possible that's crossed wires, though? One lot of people talking about a character called Alyssa, another lot a little later saying Alyssa Milano is involved. Might the second lot of people have just gotten confused?

It's just speculation on who Alyssa Milano is playing. Some speculate with good chance that she place the girl that Stay Puft is after. She might not play that person. She might play another.

Really? Weird. Someone else on NeoGaf just said this:

So, just got a email from Gamestop at work. Activision Blizzard has canned the game. WTF? We had to remove all coming soon materials as it is now removed from the system. Now it's up to another publisher to pick this up. Please? Somebody?

Its not even listed on the gamestop website anymore, all content in regards to the game are gone. All that remains is the PSP movie.

GameStop placed an automated call confirming a 2009 release date for Ghostbusters: The Video Game.

You know, it may not be a confirmation of a delay to 2009, maybe it just they finally got confirmation the fact that activision is not publishing and are removing all listings until they got confirmation of who the new publisher is and when its coming out.

See, if this was a delay, even too 2009 and the publisher still was activision, it would simply of noted that, they would have not cancelled and refunded your preorder.

But this is likely due to the fact that Gamestop/EB's higher ups finally got confirmation of the fact Activision/Sierra is not publishing the game, but as such, they do not have confirmation or news about a new publisher, so to be safe, they are cancelling pre orders and have removed it from their listings until they get new info, they cannot list a game that is not going to come out now can they? but we are going to face a delay, but weather or not its too 2009 is still the question and a question we need an answer too soon.

PS: hell, this could even mean the announcement of who will publish it, is coming but thats me being optimistic, probably wrong though
