I'm not sure how true this cashier's info is, but I was at Game Crazy earlier and asked the cashier about the Ghosbusters game. He said that Game Crazy received a memo stating that Vivendi Games picked up the game and will be publishing it, and also it may come out around March. I went to the New Philadelphia, Ohio location. Has anyone else been to a Game Crazy and heard the same story?

Giving the info we've gotten, I'd have to say that's very not true anymore, but well, I wouldn't listen to people at game stores about that since they don't seem to know much when it comes to games that get delayed and such.

Just thought you guys should I know, I saw this on Kotaku:

also:

plus what Dan said on that radio show, looks like we got a pretty official confirmation.

(copied from my post on the thread. thought I should put it here too)

Things being added in probably isn't the issue. Perfecting already existing features is far more time-consuming and difficult than dropping in new ones. I actually played the library demo at comicon, and EVERYTHING needs reworked. The PKE meter issue is just one aspect. The actual trapping of ghosts is too long, too difficult, and not intuitive. There are physics problems if you find yourself in the wrong place during a scripted event involving floating furnature. The difficulties with the PKE feel like they stem from area detection problems, which is either an easy fix, or a horrible, horrible problem. And I wasn't even playing it with a critical eye.

I have no doubt that they could potentially make a brilliant game out of that, but it's going to take a lot of work.

Seems like someone on Kotaku didn't like the demo.

Personally, I didn't get to play the demo, so I don't know, but what I saw was and still looks damn well great.

If it was as bad as Kotaku said, other places would be echoing their sentiment, I imagine. But so far, Kotaku is the only website to mention that it's anything but up-to-snuff.

The overwhelming lack of harsh judgement on this game so far leads me to believe that it's pretty damn solid. And it would have to be by now if they'd been working on it for two years.

They kept referring to Terminal Reality as “Terminal Velocity”…wasn't that a Keanu Reeves movie?

Terminal Velocity was also a game done by TRI a long time ago, in the 90's
