I'm not officially confirming anything as we didn't have anything to do with those trailers. Those were compiled by the publisher. Whether that was Atari or Activision is beyond me.

Though, given the footage in those, I can only be led to guess as to who did them.

Though, trust me on this. Pre rendered cinemats are expensive and time intensive. Most companies will not experiment with them to that level of finality.

Experimentation with those kind of cinemats usually comes in form of single frames.

Since it looks like the other Rule # videos, I wouldn't be to surprised if it was under Douchavision's control, but that was before they dropped it, IMO anyways.

Is is just me or does anyone think the older cinamatics actually looked better then the updated ones? especially how the guys look and all..

I mean I kind of see this as a classic example of if it isn't broke don't fix it.
and trying to make things bigger and better and in the process making things worse.

I will still get the game regardless of course but I like the older style models better. especially ray and egon.

i think that all the rule trailers and the one with alissa milano was for the october release, and yes its simple just look these pics its obvious wich ones are new






they look very good, the bad thing to me its that we can see more things in the old cinematics, the new ones are like zoomed in ore something

One question: is the car called ECTO-1 or ECTO-1B? I'm not sure if it's already been stated on here, and I just want to be sure.

They are the same models, as Skanker has been saying.



And I prefer the fully rendered style.

Incorrect. The Ecto-1B is the car, two separate shots have shown the licence plate to read “Ecto-1B”. The boat's name, although not yet officially confirmed, is the “Ecto-H20”.

I could be wrong, but I think Ecto-H20 was a nickname we gave the boat, but like I said, I could be wrong and it could be the official name, cause that would be an awesome name for the boat.

I think the newer ones look a lot better, the older ones never looked finished to me. The new lighting really looks great. I think the decision is split how people feel about it. In the end, I'm sure we'll all be happy with the final outcome.

I think you just need to wait for the final product before judging cinemats that are work in progress / obsolete with each other.

And trust me, the old ones were pretty broken, especially if you take them and compare them to current games.

As far as Ecto is concerned, Kingpin is correct about the car. The boat's name has not been announced.

Yep, thats what I thought, the car has already been named, the boat, not so much.
