Back in topic… I haven´t seen the slime blower… any one knows something about it?

I beleive they said they'll have a wide variety of equipment used in the game, including the new ones, and old ones like the Slime Blower.

After looking at the massive screenshots I noticed something.

The Proton Gun is different; and there's a slime tank added on the left side (Our left) of the Proton pack. You can really see them in Images 4 and 5. I'm guessing the Tank on the left is for the tethering slime, and the larger proton gun is for the separate barrel for it; and all the new features of the proton gun (slamming, etc)

well Egon upgrades the pack as the game progresses.

He's doing reverse tech upgrades in that instead of becoming nicer and sleeker, its becoming huge and bulky lol. It'll take some getting used to, but the gun doesn't really bother me. As for the strap on the back, its a little weird to me. It connects to a strap around the waist instead of like a backpack.

I'd say they're not so much reverse engineering as not getting too comfortable with an idea that might not work. Make them easy to remove if they're detrimental and only worry about making them fit into the present Pack design nicer only once you're sure it'll be a boon.

That's how I view it, especially with the very ‘cobbled on’ look of the new items. But as you've said Kalonthar, I don't mind the changes. I suspect at the start of the game we'll have the classic Pack, and as have been mentioned in several of the press material, the additions are accrued during the plot of the game.


One guy over at Proton Charging observed an absense of a A.L.I.C.E. Pack from the most recent stills making it look weird, however the newest footage has the frame restored so I think it'll all look right once the game ships.


Here's a little nugget nobody else appears to have mentioned:

We are poised to receive over four times the amount of character interaction, plot development, dialogue and character development we would've gotten with just one new film… that's an incredibly scope of new material we're to receive, as well as a much more drawn out mystery… I find that all very exciting. In addition, where the films only had a few dozen ghosts (including the number seen in the montages) because of the obvious limits of special effects, we are going to be seeing the sort of ghostbusting Dan always envisaged but was never able to show on the big screen.
