I just love how people say they know what they are talking about when all they have to work with are mere guesses. I have worked with the actuall plans. I have the lists of materials that were used for the original packs.

wow, someone has a huge ego. And as far as “what he asked”, you and I both know he didn't mean, “where did you guys start”, he meant “where should I start”. By telling someeone new to prop building to do it the way you have, an experieced propper, is just gunna screw um up. And as far as your experiece goes. Good for you, you know so much about building proton packs (yes, you are right about them being made out of wood, ectoman is a little flawed on that part. But they were also made out of rubber for the stunt packs) but how bout you share those blueprints" with the rest of us. If you have the exact blueprints from the movie, then we might as well just toss Paranorman's and bugstompers plans in the trash and go by the real thing.

And another thing stembob, Im not a psychologist, like I bet you are. When people ask things, I take it how they typed it. I answered him exactly how he asked it.

1) The topic may have asked where people started first, but his post asked where should he start
2) I wasn' t the one who started getting hostile. You put your opinion, I put mine, and then you staarted talking big about how much experience you have and how I don't know what I'm talking about. Were both here trying to help someone who's about to start a proton pack for the first time. Who has just reciently been in his possition, you or me?
3) I don't care if the moderators like me or not, every post I have made to this board has been legitamate. I don't post about pointless topics, everything I add has to do with ghostbusters, and usually has to do with building props.
4) And who are you to say if the moderators like me or not? At this point, I'm inclined to believe that you've just been BSing this intire time. First you say your this big prop builder. Then you cliam that planet hollywood bought one off of you. And then you claim that you have inside facts as to who the moderators like. And there appears to be no proof to any of it.

In either case, this conversation shouldn't be about who's right and wrong. It should be about helping gb4ever to build his pack. And as someone who just started building a few weeks ago, and is almost done, I think I would be the better one to hel him. So go on and brag about all the building you've done. But none of that should matter for this conversation.

Go hunt him down and help him for all I care. Be his little proton pack babysitter if you like. To be honest with you, I dont care how he starts it anymore. I think your an asshole. i dont know i started with the mother board then the spacer and used a brake drum for the round cylinder. then i did the boxes. and mines still not finished. but with what i did i suggest the mother board then go from there.
