yeah like the first month of this place but the problem has been fixed for quite awhile.

your avatar is of a bee, and his feet look like hearts, he also has a black eye, thats funny. its funny because bees usually dont have black eyes.

There should be an option for your web browser (should be under preferences somewhere) where you can choose to automatically load all images on a page, or not. If you turn it off, then there's no more avatars/sig images! Just happy little 's! (^_^)

That might work, Dan, but then I'd get NO images, which would make navigating the site difficult (to post a reply, you must click on an image).

The previous post about 56k loading time is another consideration.

I'll even revise my initial post a bit. After using the board a few more times, I've realized that the HUGE signature images bother me the most. Some users have banners, which are compact (to some extent), but other users have multiple banners, giant images, animated things, etc. If I could somehow hide these by unchecking a box, that would be great.

There is no restriction on the size of avatars when linking from an off site url. Example mine…

To make avatars an option of being viewable or not would take a matter or 15 minutes to write and install on the site.. it just adds another feature so I don't see why people are saying its a bad idea.
