*Possible* new discovery of power on/off switch on pack

OK, I have noticed this for years, it has always bugged me, and after seeing it again I have to post it. Watch the hotel scene in GB. Right after Egon and Ray shoot the maid's cart as Pete's saying “successful test”, look at the blue light bar and the box it's in. As it lights going up, look at the small “molding” on the side of the box. The 2 middle “caps” light up too, as if they're clear push buttons lit from beneath. At first I thought it was a glare, but it lights up at the same time and then turns off at the same time. So then I thought maybe it was only that scene, but watch Ray running from behind when he's going towards Peter after the sliming incident; it's there too. Then I thought maybe it was light leaking out from the blue bar, but it is only on those two “buttons”. It is my opinion that this is (or was going to be) the switch to turn on the pack; the elevator scene would only back up my opinion. BUT I looked at the photos of the actual prop over at the archives, and it's not there (but they are GB2 packs). So either they took out the button feature for GB2, only had it on Ray's GB1 pack, or it is something else I can't explain yet. Head over to the GB Prop archive and look at the reference photos to see what I'm talking about. Also for those with DVD's, put on the scenes I talked about and watch it frame-by-frame. I am convinced of it now, what about you?

No. Just a little paint rubbed off the fiberglass shell.

OK, but then how do you explain it actually lighting up? Watch the movie, IT DOES LIGHT. Is it leaking through the fiberglass? The pics show it, but you need to watch it in motion to see it pulse on and off.

I'm guessing that the attachments were either NOT in all the way, or somebody screwed up on one pack and the holes were a little too big for the attachment.

Actually, I've noticed that Dan's pack was messed up quite alot in the films. This thin your mentioning, another time the box seams were not secure or something and you could see a white light escaping through them, then when there going in the elevator the silver knobby thing on his bumper in knocked loose when he walks on camera. And in his 3 second apperence in Casper the tip of his thrower was hanging by the wire. He's tough on packs.
