A friend of mine had a pretty intresting idea for the proton gun. “Use a plastic tube, fill it with flourescent powder (or soemthing similar) then put laser point pens in one end of it, and create a system that when you press the trigger it causes the pens to light up.” I'm not sure if this will work or not, but it's an intresting idea none the less.

you can make this simpler by buying a set 10 light strand of christmas lights that run off of 2 C batterie: Cut off the battery pack and wire in a 9 volt battery terminal, hook this to a toggle switch or button on the gun and then run as many of the 10 lights as possible through the barrel and just barely into the clear tube at the end, if done properly the whole tube will light up when the gun is activated, looks very cool and works like a small dim flashlight as well, u could also install a blinker light in the set to make the set flash on and off

these type lights also work well for all other gun lights if your on a budget and/or don't want to mess with LED systems
