Just because the publisher's name hasn't been announced doesn't mean there isn't a publisher. As Proton Charging announced before, someone in the know has told him that there is a publisher lined up. There's just red tape and technicalities to be taken care of before they can officially announce it.

Well, that's still a bit of BS, they should be able to tell us who the new publisher, and an estimated release date would be nice.

It's all about marketing the game the right way and the longer the secrets are kept quiet the bigger the anticipation becomes.

Well they can't legally do that yet, if there's still red tape and paperwork and crap. If Sony was to come out and say this person is publishing the game what's gonna happen. That company is gonna get flooded with 50 mil. emails calls from ppl. and if they aren't technically the publisher yet, that's gonna piss them off. Also if there's stuff they wanna add or do differently, or just anything that makes them not want the public to know b/c for some reason it might damage sales, Sony might get in trouble for something.

Yes I know us GB fans have been screwed and are tired of waiting for stuff. But you gotta remember, they're a business. They aren't nostalgic, all they care about doing is making money. Just because people get attached to a product, which is what GB is, just a product doesn't mean they owe us to continue making stuff. Yes it would be nice to have release dates, or updates, or all that good stuff, but just b/c you want something right now doesn't mean you should have it right now!

Look the game will come out when it's meant to come out. Don't pretend like you aren't gonna buy it b/c of a delay, or they made you mad. You know, as well as Sony, it doesn't matter what happens, we're gonna rush out and buy that game, b/c look how long we've waited and how much crap we've been through already, and I'll be first in line 15yrs from now.

Yes, I have every intention to get the game, I had both the Wii and 360 versions on reserve, and I still intend on getting them, but honestly, its bull that we have to put up with a 9 month delay due to a bunch of assholes over at Activision decided to be assholes and drop the game as publisher.

You're not telling me anything new when it comes to getting the game, but that doesn't mean that I have to like the long ass delay.

The thing that people are refusing to realize is that Activision didn't do this simply to be “assholes”. They made what they believe to be a smart business decision, which is all they care about, and rightfully so. If they were putting out games that they didn't feel were profitable, or marketable, or even that just didn't fit into their long term plans, they would potentially suffer some very large monetary losses and not be able to put out any games at all. If they stretch themselves too thin, then they can't produce high quality products across the board, which is the point of making games. If they took on too many grand scale projects and had to skimp, and Ghostbusters wasn't as good as it should be, then people would bitch about that.

No one likes the delay. You're not in your own category in that. We're all upset that its delayed. Of course, we would all like to have their game in our hands in 6 weeks as originally planned, but its not gonna happen. So like it or not, you're going to have to deal with it, and complaining about it isn't going to change anything other than after a while, constant complaining and bitching start to annoy people who just want to discuss the game.

Well, its funny considering that Activision published all those Ghostbuster flops back in the day, and not only that, but so far, every preview for this game has been nothing but good, but I'll never understand big business logic, but I know this, I won't be buying another Activision/Blizzard product for as long as I live.

Maybe that's precisely why they're not publishing it, because their previous forays into Ghostbusters video games have not been as successful.

Funny, considering that after just the NES one they could've stopped, and yet, they kept going on and on with them. Activision is just stupid, but maybe that's just me.

Obviously, the situations are different, and if you can't see that, its certainly not Activision that is being stupid. They released Ghostbusters video games back when Ghostbusters was extremely popular and a main figure in the public eye. That is not the case anymore, no matter how much we want it to be. Using the excuse that they kept making Ghostbusters video games back in the 90's is irrelevant. Its been what, 15 years, since the last one? Clearly the circumstances have changed.
