Obviously, the situations are different, and if you can't see that, its certainly not Activision that is being stupid. They released Ghostbusters video games back when Ghostbusters was extremely popular and a main figure in the public eye. That is not the case anymore, no matter how much we want it to be. Using the excuse that they kept making Ghostbusters video games back in the 90's is irrelevant. Its been what, 15 years, since the last one? Clearly the circumstances have changed.

Well, whatever the deal is, I stopped supporting Activision and Blizzard due to this BS that Activision started. Honestly, that one game was going to make up for all the loads of shitty Ghostbuster games that they put out, but no, they had to go and drop it in favor of Spyro and Crash Bandicoot.

I guess I'll just never understand people's insistence upon tearing a company to shreds when the company has just decided, “Oh we don't want to profit off of that.” We all know that the game is going to be successful, so who cares if Activision doesn't want to be the ones profiting from it. Sure its gonna be delayed, but its still coming. We've waited 19 years, a few more months, while not desirable, isn't the end of the world.

Yeah, a few more months would've been fine had it been like, 2-3, but 9 is something different, and as I said, I just consider Activision stupid for this entire thing, you might not understand it, but that doesn't mean that its not going to happen, especially when this is something that's been due for a long, long time.

Ahh that's the phrase I don't like. When people say we are due something, just because we are fans. Technically they gave us quite a bit if you wanna look at it that way. When the movies came out, we had T.V. Shows, Action Figures, Happy Meal toys, Video Games, everything. They marketed GB for over 10 yrs, giving us plenty in it's Era. GB died out enough to the point where they thought it wasn't as profitable anymore. You gotta remember just b/c there are ppl like us who would love new stuff, it's a new generation. If they were to release something new like a show, they would have to make it appeal to kids today, not us.

When they came up with the idea to make a GB, I highly doubt they were thinking, hmmm I feel bad for the GB community. They waited and waited for something new, and got nothing, so let's make a game for them. No, they probably said hey there is a decent fan base out there, they haven't had anything for awhile, they begging for something, let's make a game, and suck up some of this money they're willing to spend. Since it's a video game the GB fans will tell thier friends what a great game it is, and their buddies will get it regardless of being fans.

They're just trying to soak up a little bit of the remaining money that's left to tap. I talk to so many GB fans who think this game is the second coming of GB. Who think that Sony is doing something nice for us, that they feel they owe us. They don't feel that way.

Sony wanted us to be us to be fans while the product was hot, now thats it's not they don't care about us. They probably want us to stop being fans, so they'll quit getting hounded over this, and we'll move onto being fans of thier newest stuff and stop spending money on old toys and junk they already made thier profits on, and buy something they will make a profit on. So many ppl think that movie company make movies for them, no they make movies for one reason only..money.

Some GB fans need to accept that fact that we are fans of something from another generation. It's our downfall, instead of saying “Finally about time they gave us a game, they owe us this and that.” Just be happy that there is a game being made, or is made whatever, and that eventually it will be released. If it takes them 9 more months to get us a game, then let them have it. It's better than them just saying screw it, it's not worth the time. There's some things we just can't help, don't waste energy complaining about it, try to think of a solution, a reason for them to spend things up. All they see it as they'll make the same amount of money regardless of when they release it, maybe more if they time it with the anniversary if they're planning anything.

Business is business

I'm a firefly fan(the movie Serenity was based off it) we got 1 season, and 1 movie. It was a great series, but it got dumped out of nowhere, and they had a good fan base.

I say that cause all but two of the games were bad, and honestly, yeah, I think we're due a new, decent game, but Activision had to go and ruin it cause yes, they're assholes and/or idiots.

As for that 9 months, that doesn't guarantee a release, especially if EA picks the game up and decides to make Terminal Reality change the game or install SuckuRom on their software, so yeah, this situation sucks and there's nothing thats going to change that.

DEAR LORD THANK YOU! Finally we have another person joining the far too small group of logical people who realize what business is about.

Realizing that big business is basically screwing over the fans and paying customers you mean.

Re-read the post. You're not getting the point at all. We're not due anything. No fans of anything are due anything. Movie companies do not owe fans anything. Just because your a fan and you like something doesn't mean you are owed anything. If anything, the only thing you could really say is that you're owed a quality product when it does come out, but as for a time frame no, you're not owed anything.

And to put things into perspective for you. We've waited 19 years since the last GB movie. 19 years = 228 months. We have to wait 9 more months potentially… That's an additional 3% of what you've already waited. Its nothing. Relax.

And the whole SuckuRom joke wasn't funny the first time, its even less funny when you use that term every time you refer to it, which is somewhere around 7 times now. Let it go.

No, I will not let it go, as I said, 2-3 months would be an acceptable wait, but 9 fucking months?! I don't think so, and whatever, SecuRom sucks, so its SuckuRom and that's not changing.

Business is business kid.

The point of business is to make as much money as possible. Why you can't seem to understand this is unbelievable to me.

Sony, Warner Bros., Marvel, DC, etc. whatever company you want to discuss. They're all in it for money. Not to please fans. They might release something that the fans want, sure… but only if it it going to be profitable for them. They're not going to release something that will be a loss or negatively affect their production plans.
