To be honest, I do see where Jonathan's coming from on this.

Let's be honest, Sony kinda does owe us, even if it's a little. They've given us crap DVD re-releases, they held onto RGB with a Rigor-Mortis-like grip for what seemed the longest time, and even ruled out Ghostbusters 3 back at a time when they swore there wouldn't be a Men in Black sequel.

And we all know how well that sequel did.

Now giving RGB to Time Life, and granting a comic licence to IDW are two steps in the right direction for Sony and I commend them… But they still have some ground to make up for.

Anyway, Jonathan, if you could at least give the complaining a bit of a break… as whilst I'm a big believer of venting frustration… Sometimes a guy can vent too much at once. Although I also have to admit, it'd please me no end if I never heard someone utter the phrase “it's only a few more months” ever again, because that's being optimistic without any basis.

Thanks Kingpin, at least someone knows where I'm coming from, but honestly, I can't help it. I mean, Sony owns the property, and yet, they can't say who the new publisher is? That, to me anyways still reeks of BS.

How old are you, really? How do you not understand the legality of certain things, and that an agreement has been reached in principle but it not signed yet, or an agreement has been made on the announcement date. Its quite simple.

27, and still, as I said, Sony owns the property, they should be able to say who they're looking at as publishers and such, but I guess you don't understand that.

The paperwork is not done yet on it. If Sony revealed the publisher now and the deal falls through what then? I think Sony knows they don't want to lie to us anymore then they have or they will lose something from it, so they are watching their steps at the moment.

They can't announce it until the deal's done, the “boy who cried wolf” thing to use an example. They may be Sony but they're still hoping someone will take the game from them.

It has nothing to do with who owns the property. An agreement has to be signed, sealed, and delivered in order for Sony to announce it. Its really very simple.

If they announce it, and it falls through, they have now pissed off the fanboys even more, and said fanboys will probably whine and complain and throw a hissy fit and boycott the announced publisher because they “pulled out and aren't publishing the game”. Its simply not smart for a business in negotiations to say, oh well we're looking at this company, this company, this company, and this company. Its not like other companies do this, so I don't understand where you're getting this idea from that Sony should be.

Well, whatever, it still sucks that Sony can't even say who they might be looking at as prospective publishers. Honestly, if something hasn't been said by the time the game's original release date comes around, I'll have to say it'd be time to start worrying.
