I CAN TYPE MY RESPONSE IN CAPS TOO!

You clearly missed the point. Yes, it being summer could be affecting the sales, because people buy video games and other things more around the holidays and such, and a lot of people take vacations in the summer, so they're money is being spent elsewhere in the summer. This is different than giving the reason of “it's hot”. Relating the temperature to sales, that's the dumb part. By saying that you're saying that people are less likely to buy video games when its hot, regardless of what time of year it is. So by the logic you're putting forth, if December was hot people would be less likely to buy games, but if June was cold, people would buy more games then. That's my point.

And I certainly hope you meant that you worked at EB Games for a while and in June sales were poor, not that you only worked there for June, because then you're just making an even bigger fool of yourself by trying to make it sound like your one month of experience at a video game store makes you some sort of Grand Poobah on the subject.

Calm down…have some dip…

I worked there for over a year if you must know..

And yes, sales were much hire in the winter months then the summer months, esp around the holidays and after, since there was not alot of high end media being launched. Ive also worked at 3 movie theaters and i can tell you, the two prime time seasons for major media content are the summer and holiday season.

Games tend to sell best in the lull periods of the movie industry. Usualy the best games come out around the holidays, same as the oscar worthy movies. The summer games are usualy crappy movie tie in games, or rushed out projects. Its the fall and spring that the really well done games come out, because they dont have to compete with movies at that time cause in those times, the movies usualy are crap.

To launch ghostbusters in June is from my perspective (having worked both in the film industry and the game industry in retail) is a bad move cause people know that all the crappy movie based games come out in the summer! Iron Man, Hulk, fantastic Four, Transformers,, all games launched within the same window as there movie counterparts and all were horrable games.

People might see ghostbusters on store shelves in june, assume its another summer crappy movie game, and pass it up.

How ever, if launched holidays or shortly after..it stands a better chance cause theres no NEW film (of that calaber) being launched at that time

……… wow. Did you seriously just say that it would be better to launch it in a movie lull period like the holidays, then say that the holidays are a big movie season? (Which by the way, you're not telling anyone any new information… we all know that the holidays and summer are the big movie times).

I've never denied that it could probably sell better around the holidays. The entire point that started all of this was when you made the reasoning for it probably not selling well in the summer “because it would be hot out”. I made fun of that idea, not the idea that it would sell better around the holidays.

You worded it in a way that was easy to make fun of, so I did that, I didn't make fun of the premise of releasing it around the holidays for better sales. I was hoping you would figure that out on your own and I wouldn't have to spell it out for you, as it kind of ruins the joke, but so it goes.

Fighting aside, we have a publisher, there IS a delay. Now we can hope for:

1) Demo this year
2) Game is more polished with the extra time.
3) Release date that isn't to far off

I hope a demo is coming this year, a MULTIPLAYER demo. That would say “Sorry guys on the publisher crap”.

Someone posted this on Gamefaqs and I really hope this release date does not end up being official.

its hard for me to figure out whats a joke or not on fourms inless its painfully obverious. I find jokes work when theres a human element, a look, expression, tone…etc to sell the joke. In text, inless its somthing completly insane, i usualy dont find it funny

No, Amazon is USUALLY correct about the dates. And you have a serious problem with overacting to people you either don't agree with, or state something that you believe is false. Just now you were asking me if I was kidding, like I knew nothing about the site.

You may be joking, but I it's a little hard to tell on message boards…
