that is a retorical question….

other then the circuit posted on gbprops… us ghostheads havnt found much that is accurate….

i tried making the board on gbprops.com, but failed, i eneded up buying a toy gun from KB-Toys, that had the proper lights for the cyclotron9, and my powercell stays constantly lit up, it doesnt move up like it should….

i guess all i can reccomend is find a friend that is good with electronics, and have him take a s hot at the board over on gbprops.com expect to put in about $20-$30 in matierles….

if you find any toys, where lights can be removed and used/modified for our purposes please let us know… i havnt found any toys with lights like in the powercell….

Joseph,

If I were you I would find a better place besides RadioShack to find your parts, it would've cost me over $65 dollars just for materials! This is why my pack doesnt have lights If you can find the parts then you should check into RadioShack or any other electronics store to see how much it would cost you to have everything soldered together. smile

The circuit is fairly simple to construct. A while back I designed some electronic kits for tricorders. The circuit is very similar. Mine does not “build up” like the ones made by Hyperdyne Labs. His are more complicated, use a PIC microcontroller and incandescent lamps. They are good, but the down side is that they are expensive! (something like $200.00 for one light kit!)

I give the plans out for free, circuit schematics are $5.00, and the board with all components soldered onto it (w/o LEDs) is $17.00 plus $2.00 shipping.

One with lights will cost around $40.00 because I use blue LEDs (7 blue LEDs at $3.00 each, red LEDs are something like $0.02 each). You are welcome to use any LED you want.

I used “Shirt Lights” available at Hobby Lobby for the red lights their perfectly in the right sequence, you have to play with it(find the right four lights that flash in the pattern you want and then extend the wires with speaker wire and walla. trust me it works
