Proton Pack: GB1 vs GB2

I'm curious; On the internet I see various proton pack replicas and every now and then come across “GB2 Proton Packs.” I carefully look at the pictures and never see any major difference.

So, my question is: IS there a difference between the GB1 and GB2 proton packs? :-O

Black crank knob instead of grey crank knob and different patterned ribbon cables. I think there's a few more but that's all I can think of. It's nothing that major.

Unlike the Ghostbusters Proton Packs, the metal block on the end of the Ion Arm does not feature a brass elbow, this instead has been moved to the Ion Arm itself.

The GB2 Proton Pack's lighting patterns (the cyclotron lights and the blue “cascade lights”) are also speeded up somewhat compared to the GB1's.

Am I right in assuming that the GB2 Nutrona Wand did not have the clear “tip”?
