Why give it up?

The description.. kinda makes false claims though..

thats a pritty decent looking pack…….but if I were you, I would not make the statement “you'll be hard pressed to find a better one” when selling this thing on e-bay. Caus you're gunna get bitched out for makin that kinda statement. As good as it is, it is mostly made out of household objects and is not “accurate to the movie”. the clear tube at the tip of the gun is the least of your worries. I am curious to see how much it goes for though. $100 is VERY reasonable for a pack of that quality. (put another $100 of work into it, and you could put it back up on E-bay for 5 times as much.) I'm not tryin to bash your product here, I just don't think you should give up on it just yet. Your basically done, you just need to put a little more detail into it and you could sell it for quite a bit more.

oh about the description…i dint mean to say you couldnt find a better one period…i meant before halloween comes around

considering my last one sold for over $600 i think my reserve and buy it now are very reasonable for this one, it is at least twice as accurate as my last…

i also did leave the gun removable from the hose in case someone would prefer to make thier own gun…the pics are aweful (darn web cam) but the gun is actually fairly acurate, i have the Gumout bottles for the handles too but i could not find a reasonable way to make them work so i dint want to mess them up in case someone else thinks theyd like to give it a whirl

as for the pack itself the only real areas i see for improvement are smothing out the top of the cyclotron a tad more and trying to come across some real rainbow ribbon…i chose not to use the pipe fittings for the wires because the wires have thier own ends since all of the spare parts came from 4 or 5 old computers my boss gave me

i know its not the greatest prop ever but for what i had to work with to get in finsihed in time for halloween its not too shaby

last time i cut it too close with the auction and the poor guy barely got it in time (dont use Fedex to send large packages to Canada) he spent $180 to have it shipped up there second day air with insurence and it was about a week before he finally got it

what's the resever price for the pack

If this is better then your last one, I would love to see some shots of your old pack.

depending on how long youve been on the board you prolly have seen my old one, i sold it last halloween and i had my friend who is a reg here post pics, i dunno what name he uses but i would bet it had “slimer” in it

To be honest, I've seen better proton packs then that. (I mean the one on eBay.)

I joined the group last november. I may have seen it at some point along the line, but I'm not sure. is it in the prop section of this site? and as for my comment, yes, it was a little rude. I'm just saying that it seems like you have the skill to do better. and this being your second pack, I would think you would want to make it a little more accurate.
