Speculation on the radio says its viral marketing for something. But nobody knows for what. In all honesty, I think it looks like a Chimaera of some sort. They also reported that there's a government testing facility on a near by island. Can anyone say “escaped experiment”?

it's a skinned/burned cat with bound forelimbs and it's snout rotted to expose the skull, isn't it? if not a cat then some similar quadroped.

not for definite, it could easily be exposed skull with worn cartiledge/a bit snapped off/at a weird angle.

my take on cryptids - they're common or garden animals until the National Geographic tells me they're not! :-)
