Updating/re-imagining of the classic John Badham film where Number 5, one of a group of experimental military robots, undergoes a sudden transformation after being struck by lightning. He develops self-awareness, consciousness, and a fear of the reprogramming that awaits him back at the factory. With the help of a young woman, Number 5 tries to evade capture and convince his creator that he has truly become alive.

This is awesome news. Johnny is still alive. :-)

So judging by the fact that pretty much all of your posts are about old movies from most of our childhood's being remade, I take it you actually like the fact that Hollywood has no original ideas, and just remakes and tarnishes old classics?

Not really their creating comics to the big screen like heathcliff. So that somehow orginal like the did with Garfield, G.I. Joe etc.

Those aren't original ideas…

They may not have been movies before, but they, as stories and characters, have existed for a number of years.

In any case you didn't respond to the fact that you're encouraging a remake of this, as well as suggesting a remake of Home Alone in another thread.

I thought the remake was called Wall-e.

Seriously though, I'm afraid he'll turn out like the robot in the Lost In Space remake.
