I have been thinking for a while of creating a fan-fiction about the RGB's called the Real Ghostbusters: Ecto-X squad, it will be only one story (unless by popular request more should be created ). So I am wondering if people would like it or even for that matter read it!
So here goes. . .
It is 100 years after the defeat of Gozer. So it is now the year 2084 and 50 years prior to this date the Ghostbusters had disappeared of the face of the earth in a freak accident (they are unfortunately feared dead). So on the anniversary of Gozer the Travlers appearance strange things start to happen. There is a strange paranormal like thunderstorm which start to breath life into inanimate objects, such as gargoyles on buildings, park benches, stautes, etc. Also ghosts begin to appear everywhere reecking havoc upon the good citizens of New York. New York's Finest are called in to handle the situation but as always they fail. When the news reaches a geneticist by the name of Dr. Fredrick Wells, he discovers a way to put an end to this mayhem. That is by using genetics. He goes to the GB's fire station, which is now a museum dedicated to the art of ghostbusting, and gets DNA samples off of the guys collars of their jumpsuits. He uses the DNA which he has collected to create a genetically altered and enhanced team of Paranormal Investigators, called the Ecto-X squad. Their clones of the original RGB's except enhanced a bit!

no offence but that sucks!u cannot kill or change the ghostbusters-they rock to much.

I think it's pretty good, very creative.

I think it's kewl! I love the theory on cloning by use of DNA so this story is perfect for people like myself.

I'm no sure if to have the guys to pass on or to have them disappear. But the way the story is going to be as if they never were gone. So that's just a way to get around the thin f them living a long time and without them getting old and having o b replaced. I would never want to kill off the RGBs! I love the RGBs, they're the best. And I woud never kill off Egon! He's my favorite character! Hence my GB.net screen name!

The Ghostbusters have to die some time, they're dead in my new series, nothing lasts forever. Even if it's good…
