You may visit the site today and wonder “Why are there ads on the bottom of each page”. Well, I'm testing out an ad system to see how many impressions I get a day. Feel free to click on an ad, but don't go nuts. I'm using today as a test day to see if it would be worth it to serve ads on the page.

Now, if I do decide to serve ads (which I'm probably going to be forced to do because of hosting costs), I will redesign the sidebar (where the search box is, etc) and host 120 X 60 banners there. Therefore I will only place truly relevant “related props, fan fics, news, etc…” on the sidebar to free up space and to help load time. I'm in the process of re-programming the logic that pulls related content because it doesn't truly work right now (it wasn't meant to for awhile because of time issues).

Note: there may be pop-up or pop-under ads because the ad company I'm using now incorporates those into their traditional ad banners, but rest assured knowing that I won't go with a ad company who hosts pop-unders. This is just for a day or so, so I can get a feel for how my ad traffic is compared to my web traffic.

Please post your thoughts, concerns on ad banners in this thread if you wish.

Not a problem….if you get rid of the pop-ups.

pop ups BAD! Ugh, I can't imagine such a site with po-ups. Now-a-days everywhere I go, even my Music Service (Morpheus)has pop ups. I have had it with companies trying to advertise their products on my time. As if I don't see enough ads in magaizines, newspapers, tv, billboards, etc. And now you have to deal with them in your time on the internet. The most aggravating pop up I know of is that X10 mini camera. AHH if I see one more ad for that I will scream. PLEASE no pop ups, pop unders, or any other ad that pops! This is the only place where we can come and hide from pop ups! And now, now our hideout has been attacked. Pop ups will run our lives. We will be hypnotized by the temptation to “Buy Now.” It will forever haunt us! Our small pop up free world gone.
Whoa got a little carried away. Long story short (Too Late) I don't think any company with pop-ups should be allowed. I don't like the side one either. It'll ruin the whole color scheme. it'll be white and grey, and then “BAM” some bright color. The side one is not too good either. but the bottom one doesn't bother me. That's my two cents.

I don't mind them on the bottom. The pop-ups get tedious after awhile, though.

I don't mind the banners too much, but the pop-up ads drive me up the wall.

Yes, as stated before there will be NO pop ups are pop-unders. I'm currently working on the sidebar redesign which I hope to impliment tomorrow.

I'm also very pleased with your “no pop-ups” policy. Those things nearly made me lose this site.
