So yeah I just noticed...

Ghostbusters213, that was the first joke I noticed when I got the Ghostbusters DVD (after years of watching the VHS versions). I'm sure I saw it in the theater but was too young to catch it. Hilarious!

Same here… I was 5 or 6 when I watched it in the theater.

The joke's always on Peter, isn't it? I mean, “World of the Psychic” is supposed to be this stupid, sensational, lowest-common-denominator talk show where Dr. Peter Venkman humors some (probably fraudulent or crazy, in his low opinion) psychics…and then he gets the one guy who was actually RIGHT!

Hey guys, new member here but longtime browser of the boards.

One thing I noticed recently is that the “wobble” movement of Slimer flying toward the screen at the very end of GB can be compared to big Viggy's slimed head “wobbling” back into the painting just before it explodes in GBII!

Seriously, take a good look at the two and you'll see what I mean. Almost identical movements (but reversed direction, obviously.)

I doubt it was intentional, probably just sheer co-inkie-dink!

According to this website James Belushi had an uncredited cameo (see pic) in GB1. What do you guys think?

Anyone have any comparison pictures of him around that time? Could be him I suppose. After all, he's good friends with Dan now… and I figure they probably were back then too given how close Dan and John were.

The most recent thing I noticed was a goof. (I notice the mistakes of others, but remain oblivous to my own. Sue me.) Watch the big stone ram-horned head on the Gozer temple tumble–I partly disappears behind the matte painting of the temple cap, as does the dust and debris.

And an alternate take on Matthew's “Venkman, Stantz, Egon” note. Perhaps Pete's calling Egon the “diva” of the crew, the one for whom one name says it all. And I just thought of something–I don't think Peter calls him “Spengler” the entire movie…

One more thing: Louis' fly is down on the Gozer temple. Didn't mean anything to me when I was 11, but later the whole Keymaster/Gatekeeper thing had new meaning.

*After almost exactly 25 years of watching that movie I finally figured out where the said “stone ram head” disappears to after falling off the temple , and sure enough by happenstance recently did I finally see it in front of one of the police barriers parallel to the lobby of the building itself…

*Talk about being oblivious (*egon)…

*Cheers.

I'm probably the only guy who didn't notice this before, but I think I figured out what “key master” and “gate keeper” means lol. Yeah, I'm probably going to get my post edited for this. Somethings are better off unnoticed lol.

One thing I noticed was this, which was a revealing mistake.

When Ray first shoots at Slimer in the first movie, you can see the burn marks on the wall BEFORE the proton stream visual even hits the wall. I just noticed it the 5th time I watched the movie.

I also noticed an awkward time skip between the time Winston first comes in, to the fountain scene, back to the fire house “Light is green, trap is clean”.

There is no way Peter could have covered that much ground in so little time between shots.
