most of u knw this but in GB1 they used an ambulance for the Ecto-1. but in GB2 they used a hearse. you can plainly see the difference but just something i wanted to say.

They used the same car. I thought they said in the commentary, that the car finally died while they filmed GB2.

It's an ambulance, not a hearse. The only differences I see between Ecto-1 and Ecto-1A are the gadgets on top and the logos.

are u sure? i mean look at them. one looks (GB2) kinda thinner i guess u could say. it also looks a little more sleek. oh wait. ummm here we go. not in the beginning of GB2 but when they get back in business take a look at the car. like when all the gizmos are on the top. look at the car itself. it looks slightly thinner. it looks more like a hearse. but in the first movie it was a fat car. i dunno. thats what i think. i could be wrong though.
