Even better reason for me (and all of us) to be excited for AOTC more so than Phantom Menace is the fact that even Lucas knows of the flaws. There's a great article over at Newsweek that Lucas' camp sent a memo to Hasbro toys stating “The last film did not live up to expectations,” and the film promises a “darker feel, closer to the original films.”

Oooh boy, the Netmeister is stoked! Midnight Madness is tomorrow night also for those of you ready to pick up that brand spankin' new AOTC merchandise!

EDIT: For those of you that want to check out the article, here's the link http://www.msnbc.com/news/741646.asp

Fetts have always ruled.

Everyone, make sure to turn into TRL tomorrow (Tuesday) to catch the music video by John Willams for AOTC. The theme name has slipped my mind, but Willams better pull out all the stops if he wants to create something as orginal and jaw-dropping as Duel of the Fates.

I personaly can't wait to hear the new Anakin theme, to hear more Imperial March mixed in.

I also hope to hear more battle music, DotF was sweet as hell, but TPM lacked overall battle music. I mean, who doesn't hum The Battle of Hoth music or the Asteroid Belt music. John Willams is still the man eithier way.

Lastly, when you go out to buy your figures tomorrow (tuesday) do not forget, the album also will be out in 4 fun flavors; The movie poster front (like TPM's soundtrack cover), A Anakin and Amadialla cover, a Yoda cover with him looking very bad-ass, and of course a Jango Fett one. Happy shopping, just wish I has some cash to join in…

hmmm… I'm gonna wait until I see the actual movie before making comments

my thoughts so far:
I dunno if it's gonna be that great, I mean come on, it's a love story, *NSYNC almost got a cameo role, etc. but you never know…

I like the thought of millions of guys in Mandalorian armor, that's pretty tight

Since we were on the topic of the “episode” titles, I figured I'd mention something that made me realize even more what Netsolo meant. I just got the latest TV Guide, and an add for Return of the Jedi says “Star Wars: EPISODE VI: return of the jedi” As you can see by how I typed it, that's how big each title was compared to the other. It was disappointing and weird!

Just think, in 500 years, they'll be using Star Wars to teach school, and will have re-named it “The Tragedy of Anakin Skywalker.” wink

Ecto-Jedi:

Across the Stars, which is available over at www.starwars.com right now.

I have to say that I'm completely impressed with how this film is being handled. In fact, they're returning to the Star Wars roots (right down to the Anakin Skywalker action figure having the lightsaber built into his arm just like the SW figures of old). The trailers and clips shown give promise of smart banter and once again that feel of gritty Star Wars adventure.

As for the whole N Sync fiasco, take a look at the trailer in the scene that they supposedly were going to be in. Your grandma could be in that mass of soldiers and Jedi and you wouldn't be able to tell.
