Because Evolution was so much the same as ghostbusters, I think that the ghostbusters should have had shotguns to kill the ghos. So in Evolution, the shot aliens with shot guns, well why not have shotguns that kill ghosts (for the ghostbusters of course) it just seems like the thing to do I mean come on!

No, the Neutrona Wands with particle streams are the best… The shot gun thing sounds stupid. Possible with aliens, since you can touch them, not possible with ghosts, you'd go right through them.

jees. if hed want to make it instead of just pop the idea out there, its not a stupid idea at all. in fact, i could make one if i could get my hands on the gun i thought of when he said shot proton gun. i like custom weapons. it shows a little bit more creativity than all the same proton packs. if they all look the same, why give them less than 10?

Well ProtonCharger, maybe you're not from the USA, but we have this thing called FREEDOM OF SPEECH! I have no problem with custom props, but a shot gun in the format that Vego was talking about and I will quote if for you,

IT WOULD NOT WORK!!!! How would you charge the protons in a shot gun? Then, the next thing is, YOU CAN'T KILL A GHOST, ITS ALREADY DEAD!! The point of the Neutorna Wand's particle stream is to HOLD the ghost so you can TRAP it! The only way the shot gun idea would work is if you produced such a powerful charge as to neutralize the ghost for a matter of seconds long enough to get the trap in place and trap it.

So ProtonCharger, don't run off at me, think about it for a second before you start on a rage post. Like I said, in the format that Vego suggested, the idea would not work. The lead shot would just go right through the ghost and hit whatever was behind it.

First things first, it the GB universe, ANYTHING can happen. The the Proton Sot Gun would be neat if you liek that kinda stuff. The concept would be the ammo is carched some way and when you shoot the ghost it nutralizes it! I don't liek the idea, it belongs in DOOM not Ghostbusters in MY opinion.

In a since its a good idea, in then again its not… one of the reason why ghostbusters was cool is because all of thier stuff was new and no one else used them…. I am a huge fan of shotguns theyre fun to shoot, and the concept of having a much bigger beam is kind of neat… but then you loose the whole feel of everything…

well if you havent noticed this guy's sudden fandom in evolution, youd think hey, a ghostbuster shot gun isnt too bad of an idea. like gbva said anything in ghostbusters is possible. you were too quick to down this guys idea.
its not too stupid of an idea. here comes the fan fiction, rather than one steady stream of a beam you have kind of cartridges that are in a sense proton bullets. and like a shot gun, when they fire, its like a shot gun bullet. look at the moronic egb packs. thats kind of that idea, rather they had the steady stream, bad voice acting, and even worse animation. shoot, reload. shoot. reload. thats what it calls for.
i live in america, there's no such thing as free speech. you may think it, but check out the comics code, porn on the internet, movie ratings and tv ratings. i think the idea's pretty neat. if he's willing to build one, id sure like to see it.

That would be an interesting effect to add to the neutrona wand. I was thinking of something similar myself. It shoots a burst of energy instead of a solid stream, it would be kinda cool if you could find a theory to back it up with.

th-th-theory? I have this is that word even in the Ghostbusters Equipment Dictionary. Man if we had to base all our made up props on theory it would be boreing. Loosen up, thats one thing i notcied about soem proppers, although the theories behind the GB equipment is awsome, the fact remains it's all science fiction. It's like try'ing to explian how lightsabers worked. I saw to get a good prop you have to ignor real life and make it…this post will mos tlikely make no sence to me in the morning but hey. Anyone agree?

i've only got the plannin stages of a trap pack. works like a proton pack, but its a trap instead. i am also workin on a hand held trap that can be rolled as well. maybe 75 percent of my ghostbuster props are custom. even my proton pack is. looks like it, but its custom.
