I was just wondering What storyline you would have if you were to write the script to GB3. Plus whats this Ghostbusters the legacy, its sounds great, please gould you feed me back some info.

“The next Generation In Ghostbusters”

My other posts haven't included much info about the series, but basically it follows along the “Ghostbusters Next Generation” series but has some (in my opinion) mjor differences.

“It's 2002, the Ghostbusters have dispanded and the world has been relatively peaceful, at least until a warm summer day. Four heroes unite once more to rid the world of the ectoplasmic scum that had plagued it twice before. But something goes wrong…”

That would be my trailer for it, basically the Ghostbusters are battling another “end of the world” occurance and seem to beat it. However what appears to be an explosion seems to engulf all of Manhattan Island and reduces it to standing ruins. we then fast foward a few years to meet Zack, a cab driver who after meeting Alex, a hacker. Find the old firehouse and then recruit their respective friends to join them. Now this sounds like the run of the mill standard “Next Gen” theme, however I assure you that it will have some surprises and developments that in most cases won't be in any other story. I plan to make it as a series and it will be on the site within the next two months as the first two “Episodes” are written.

Sounds Great. I like the part about it being the next Generation. As my saying goes (The next Generation In Ghostbusters)

As for my film idea:

Okay, my idea(s) of the new film have probably been know for a long time.

I'd base it on the old “Hand over te business” theme, however we've dealt with two gods trying to take over the world already. We need a new theme. We could try: A ghost army, human enslavement by a ghost/demon or hell coming to earth. Hell on earth is a good idea, but it's now become used by fanfiction writers. And the other two ideas might not cut the mustard.
So, we have the following ideas and things to play with (the firehous, regular equipment, one or more of the original ghostbusters, Ecto-1 etc.) What can we make out of this or create? A future GB team storyline has also been used by fanfiction as well. We need something unique. And that unique factor in my mind is take the future GB team storyline, but remove it off the usual cliques (a revamped Ecto, the ghostbusters disapearing, the old equipment being used through the film.) Then instead of setting it within a few decades, we set it maybe in a few centuries like possibly Dan's orignal idea. we only have the old equipment working for a set time and have the new team make their own based on Spengler's and Stantz's designs. And as to having one of the GBs, I'd only keep it to a small cameo (like a letter writing scene perhapse.) My idea pretty much follows the concept I'm using for my new series. (I guess that another world takeover seeking demon could be used. But maybe crossing over my idea with a ghost army or somthing could work I guess.)
I've never really though about how I could make a film, just fanfiction.

I like the way you say that they should set the film a few centurys away,plus you said that they would use the old equiptment. This is good because in the court scene of Ghostbusters2, peter says “i hope this stuff still works”, and egon replies "should, power cells have never faided in 5000 years, so they could use the old equiptment. Ii think that with it being the 21st century they will release a GB Extreme movie. But i dont know must about Extreme Ghostbusters. Good ideas Though!!!!!
