Hey there. Anybody remember what quality of packs the Universal Studios Ghosbusters had? Were they movie-perfect? And did the folk who performed in the live action fx show have packs that differed from the fellas that rode around in Ecto-1 patting kids on the head? Just wondering smile

From what I remember they didn't have exact packs. I went the week right after they closed down the spooktacular show (that was the whole reason that I was looking forward to universal). I only got to see the ones riding around the park and I really don't think their packs were the same as the ones in the movies.

The Packs for the GB show there when it first opened were VERY accurate. They were made by some Prop builders here in LA that I know. and they started with a pull from the original Ghostbuster pack mold. My guess by the end they had wrecked all of the ones made out here and have to replace them with what ever they could find.
The packs I will be offering soon will be off the same one as the “Original” GB Fla ones

I have some good pics of the Universal Packs stuffed somewhere, I'll try to find them. From what I remember their packs, especially the guns were WAY off. I understand what Joesph was saying, those packs looked in pretty bad shape. The girl on the back of the car almost dropped hers FOOLS!

Yeah as far as I remember the show sucked. and the people they got to act were pretty bad… I was really disapointed in the Costumes and Props as Well…

Did you know that the original packs used in the show were blue? According to some back stage pics provided by someone whoms name I do not remember. Not only that but they sold Fiberglass kits for $500-$1000. It was quite strange but the packs were low quality and didnt have sound, but from what I remember some had lights.

okay okay, heres some stuff about it all:

There packs were black, jet black not blue, with the exeption to Tully's pack, it was screaming blue green. There packs where very unaccurate when i went, and the guns were off for what i think were technical reasons. My guess is that the gun help a remotes that activated the “streams” when the aims there gun at the frame, it hard to explain but i will try. At the beginning they ask you not to do flash photography, because there are frames and projectors behind the glass, the proton streams were x-mas lights on a steel from runninng to where the “ghost” would be. My guess is the guns triggerd off the lights. The packs never really did light up becaus ethey were doing alot of falling down, there packs were heavy and very sturdy. And the show rocked.

Does anyone have pictures of the ones thay are using THIS week? just b/c they used them in 94 or 96, doesnt mean they use the same ones now,….maybe if someone posted pictures of the new ones, you would all be floored smile I mean that in a dont judge things based on the way they used to be, kind of way
