Universal tearing down the Firehouse??

Guys, I was just at Universal Studios Florida and as we roamed around where the old Spooktacular was once located, we found ourselves face-to-face with a boarded area blocking off the front of the old Firehouse. Has anyone heard anything about it being torn down?

I climbed onto a bench and peeked over the wall, and the Firehouse LOOKED okay… but if anyone is planning to check out Universal to see the old Firehouse, you might wanna get there soon… the artwork makes it look like this new ride might be smashing thru the building!

It is from what I've heard. The rollercoaster is supposed to go right through where the Firehouse is standing.

i went to florida mid june-early july, Ustudios is not a gb feindly place anymore, i boycotted the twister ride cause thats just crap. i wore my gb shirts everytime i went to the park. im happy i got alot pic with me and the house

The Twister ride is a pretty well envisaged concept, it isn't ‘crap’.

eatingfood1, there's faith and then there's pointless optimism. The Firehouse was built presumably for the Spooktacular and has remained fairly useless since it left, if it was specifically built for Ghostbusters they're not likely to rebuild it somewhere else in the New York backlot if it isn't needed for anything.

They're not gonna care if we get pissed because right now it's pretty much wasted space to them. As Kingpin said, it was built for the Spooktacular attraction, and right now it's not being used for anything (I wounder if they took down all the decorations actually).

Universal isn't the same as it use to be. I don't find it as fun as before. There use to be character actors walking around the park which was fun. Now, it's pretty empty a lot of the times.

*SIGH* I've never ever been to USFL and now with this bad news I'll probably never care to go…. Anyone have any pics of their firehouse?

There not tearing it down, the roller coaster is going to go thru the window.
