It may be just me, but I didn't agree with making slimer a good guy in the second one.

But I never could get into the cartoon, mainly b/c of slimer. He completely irritated me, just like Jar-Jar Binks in Star Wars.

What are ya'lls thoughts?

I hated Slimer, he would always cause many problems for the Ghostbusters.

Well, the annoying Slimer was only in the cartoon. I guess you can't really complain about the movie Slimer because he was only around for a little bit. In Ghostbusters, he was their first successful trapped ghost. In GB2, his screen time wasn't even one minute.

Slimer had a good feeling to him..or her..i mean it..in the movies, the cartoon got a little bit of that in it's episodes but not quite…i liked evil slimer in gb1 though, and if i recal he had these names:
Onion Head
The Ghost of John Bulushi
Spud
The Green Ghost
The Slimer
Slimer

these are the names people called him/her/it over the time slimer was around, kinda wierd how many names one concept gets huh?

You gotta love the way you can barely understand him when he talks. And he's no where near Jar-jar's level of annoyance. I recall in the star wars episode 1 party in Denver they burned a statue of Jar-Jar. How ancient-tribe-like of them.

To tell you the truth I don;t mind Jar Jar lol I don't see why everyone is bugged by him so much, he's a filler character for the kids, just brush it off.

SkullLeader's right!

Hmm – never thought I'd say that.

But still, he is. I quite enjoyed Slimer in the cartoons, although his presence seemed a little awkward (but still not unwanted) in GB2.

hehe to some extent in the cartoon. You always knew he was going to eat or drink something and make the guys mad in the episode. But it was still enjoyable, like on Family Matters, ya know Urkel is always gonna screw something up but ya enjoy watchin' it time and time again.

It brought a certain predicatablity to the series that was nice but Slimer did help out a lot in the series too…hehe
