Recently, I cracked out my Speed Racer DVD and am now hooked on the show. But there is on episode I can't seem to find. I vividly recall an episode in which speed fakes his death in a race and shows up to his own funeral and talks with Racer X, and that's about it. If anyone can tell me what ep that is from I would greatly appreciate it.

A very quick search on Google reveals that the plot in question was the plot of the movie “Speed Racer” and not an episode of the cartoon.

Yeah, but in the movie, it's his brother who fakes his death. I'm 100% sure there is an episode of the 1966 show where speed attended his own funeral, and was in a disguise of sunglasses, spoke with Racer X and left, but that was just part of the episode, the actual plot escapes me.

Maybe it's one of the episodes from the 1990s series?
