Welker Back as Slimer?

Is it just me or does the voice over artist for trhe new game sound like Frank Welker…

It seriously sound like him when he places Nibbler on Futurama

I had already made a comment earlier that the noises made by Slimer seemed similar if not identical to Frank Welkers portrayal of him in RGB. I assumed it was either A) a temp voice to be replaced later or B) a throw back to the cartoon.

Whilst I'm not sure it's Welker, they get top marks for finding a vocal artist who sounds similar to the ones who narrated the original trailers for the first and second movie.

The vocalist also seems to be mimicking Ivan Reitman's Slimer as well.

This game would earn a ton of cool points with me if they really do use Welker for Slimer's voice. It'd be like getting Peter Cullen for the Transformers movie–a nice nod to the shows they've otherwise set out to willfully ignore.

Welker did return for the Transformers game, so it wouldn't surprise me if he did this as well.

I think that it is him…but since I cannot find any proof to back that up or official information connecting him to the game…it is just an opinion and nothing more

I don't think they would bring him back just for a few grunts, slimer probably doesn't speak in the game, but you never know they could have Welker in there and maybe surprising dialogue from slimer.

Welker does the voice for Curious George which is essentially grunts. Who knows though. We do not know the full extent of the inclusion of Slimer yet.
