I haven´t read or watched anything about the containment unit on the videogame… no pics, no rumours, no nothing… or did I miss something??
I hope we could have access to the containment, I haven´t see it since 1984 (in GB2 we never saw it).

I do believe it was mentioned in an article that you'll be able to use the containment unit to look at the ghosts you've captured, much like RGB.

Yea. It says in GI that you'll be able to see the profile of the ghosts you've either captured or thoroughly scanned with the PKE.

I hope we get to do that. Or at least have a little cut scene that shows us or one of the other GB doing that.

Maybe, in scenes with too much action, you got your ghost traps full… so you have to go back to the Firehouse, go to the basement, and clean the traps at the containment unit.
That could fix perfectly on co-op or multiplayer mode, while some keep catching ghosts, one goes to clean traps.

Or replace them. Remember, they did have multiple traps(more than 4) by GB2. So you'll probably get at least a maximum of 2 traps to replace at least the 2 you start with. Unless the limit it to one trap per player which in that case you'd get one new trap.

One of the earliest reports did say that you'd be able to free roam the firehouse between missions. If this is still Sierra's intention i'd say you'd definitely be able to view the Containment Unit, and i have some distant memory of being able to ‘view’ the ghosts you have captured in there (as the above poster metioned) so i should imagine you can interact with it too.
Pointless speculation, but i can't help but expect it to be the RGB version of the unit. it's almost gospel now, somehow, after EGB and the Legion comic used it - not seeing it in GB2 just made it seem like the RGB one was the definitive replacement for the one that blew in GB1.
And it may be scandalous to say, but it was far cooler than the one you actually saw in the film anyway!
