The incredibly boring guy is Tobey Maguire. I saw him on SNL last night, he made fun of himself by singing the Spider-man theme song monotonously. I haven't felt so sleepy since High School Language Arts.

“Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can.”

“Spider-Man, Spider-Man, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.”

As for Maguire as Spider-Man, you can never make fans happy about who plays superheroes in the movies. Even Michael Keaton playing Batman was a bit controversial - and he had the nod from Bob Kane himself. Of course, even two Batmen after (Kilmer and Clooney), Keaton remained the definitive Batman.

Actually, it is not Tobey Maguire that you saw on SNL. That was cast member Seth Meyers doing an impression of Tobey, albeit exaggerated. It was funny, but regardless, I think Maguire will be an awesome Spider-Man.
