For years we've been praying for a complete Real Ghostbusters collection on dvd, making prop replicas which are about to be officially produced and talking about a next gen Ghostbusters game which are all finally happening. Not only that, we've of course also been praying for another movie which now looks more promising than ever. Over the years these things have been the topic of many threads, debates and discussions.

So, once we get our Real Ghostbusters dvd box set and have watched them through, once we've got our prop replicas, once we've completed Ghostbusters the videogame and once (if it happens) we've seen Ghostbusters III what else will there be to wish for? There was a certain exitement and anticipation in the dream, in waiting and talking about these possible things, but once we get them, what will we have left to dream for? I know there must be still certain things that you'd like to see released but once we've got all this stuff and have had done with it, what do you think the fan commumity be be like? Less busy? More busy? Less interesting once we've used all these products? More interesting? I'd like to know what you think.

Well, frankly, I think for the past few years its been getting less interesting anyway, with not as many people posting as regularly as they once did.

That said, I can't wait. There's of course always going to be that small twinge of desire for more, but the satisfaction of getting all of these things that have been hoped and prayed for for so long is going to far surpass that.

Plus, we can always wish for Ghostbusters IV… haha!

Ooh, I think that even this talked about second sequel is pushing it. I think a third sequel would be just pushing it a bit too far. If Ghostbusters III is made I am praying for it to be the last and for the movies to go out on a high. I just don't want Ghostbusters to turn into a series of movies where they get progressively worse. Sometimes the best thing to do is retire at the top. I don't want Ghostbusters to do a Muhammed Ali, if you know what I mean.

Given how long its taken, and the fact that, even though you and I disagree on new recruits, I wouldn't want to see sequels taking place that just have new recruits and not the original guys at all. That, to me, wouldn't feel right, I don't think.

I agree. If they do make GBIII, then it needs to be the last one. Unfortunately, we missed out on the opportunity for several sequels (maybe a good thing). One last hurrah would be fun and exciting if done with the original cast of Ghostbusters. Anything else would be a shameless money grubbing scheme.

This is a great question, Matthew. I feel the Ghostbusters community will grow online and will be bolstered by the release of The Real Ghostbusters DVD Collection, the Blu-Ray release of Ghostbusters & Ghostbusters II and last, but certainly not the least, Ghostbusters: The Video Game.

You will witness an explosion of collaboration and growth in the Ghostbusters community during 2009.

So be good, for goodness sake… Wooooooaaaah… somebody's coming… (*_*)

I got a feeling we will find every messed scene possible in the dvds and in the video games.

Oh, c'mon….you know how the fans are. They'll always find something to complain about.

Consider GB3. Even if it's made there'll inevitably be at least one of the following complaints made by somebody:

“Eew! They're so old and out of shape! I want to remember them exactly as they were in 1989! They've raped my childhood just to make money!!!”

"WTF? A bunch of new characters? I wanted Venkman and Ray, not Extreme Ghostbusters: The Movie! Those bunch of flavor-of-the-month ‘hot’ comedians ruined it! They've raped my childhood just to make money!!!“

”They tried to do a f***ing remake/reboot of Ghostbusters?! Don't they know nobody can be Venkman but Bill Murray?! They've raped my childhood just to make money!!!"

So whatever happens, there'll be plenty of…discussion.:-)
