Where is GB2 Blu Ray???

They said it was coming but it never did. Cant find any new info on it. Anyone know anything about it?

Its been pushed back for a supposed “special-edition”-type release down the line.

To long of a wait this is its 20th year anv. It should come out now. I hate how they make everyone double dip on dvds. 2014 is to long of a wait. I doubt they will wait that long. The 2 disc if it comes out, I will buy it and return gb1 for a refund seeing as how i got it on blu ray already.

An October release seems to be the popular rumour for the moment. The Digital Bits has mentioned the month a couple of times while talking about the Ghostbusters Blu-ray.

I don't really consider any news from The Digital Bits to be a viable source in my own consideration as I dislike the site owner.
Anyway, I do hope the Blu-ray will finally be receiving special features this film has been without for a long time on home media format.

I've been visiting the site for what seems like forever. Things do get a little out of hand when format wars pop up like DVD vs Divx… or the more notorious Blu-ray vs HD-DVD. On the other hand, news and reviews on titles are usually pretty solid. The site is the only place where I've seen Ghostbusters II mentioned with any reference to a release date rumour or otherwise mentioned.

I would love to see some special features on the movie. The deleted scenes would be the first thing I look at on the disc.

Ghostbusters II was going to be just a standard release on Blu-Ray with no extras with Ghostbusters 25th anniversary release, but they decided to delay the release to finally make Ghostbusters II a special edition release. I also think they probably want to see what the demand is for Ghostbusters Blu-Ray + Video Game is to justify the expense to make a special edition. They will need to add commentry tracks, deleted scenes, behind the scenes videos, Interview with people now about there experiences, etc.

Perhaps also a tribute to the actor who portrayed Vigo would be appropriate?
