I remember when the first Egon from Mattel was released. I said to myself that I'd collect the 6“ line until I had all four characters. I received the 12” Ray as a gift. So I stayed focused on the 6“ figs until finally…there was the fourth character. Venkman…heavy slime AND gloved! So much for a matching set. Anyway, I got all four and spent about $28 each..so any ghosthead can appreciate my consternation when I received the GB 2 holiday pack for Christmas. My best friend got them for a song compared to what I spent. All 4 in one shot, not taking months to assemble in one place. Oh well. But I understand everyone that has issues with Mattel's approach to Ghostbusters collectors…although my collecting/buying has pretty much ended on a somewhat bittersweet note, paying only retail for the 8” RGB's at a TRU. If (big word) Mattel makes a set of ecto-goggles..or(another big word) a trap that performs as well as the PKE meter..well then I'll plunk down my hard earned coin. But figures? Over. Done with.
Thanks for listening.(*rant)

Vinz and Marshmellow ray were added to the matty site:

http://www.mattycollector.com/store/matty/en_US/DisplayCategoryProductListPage/categoryID.17846500

Prepare for the rectification of the Vuldronaii with the first-ever Vinz Clortho figure in the Ghostbusters™ Classics line! The Keymaster has interchangeable “possessed” and “science experiment” heads, as well as a Terror Dog mask — no wonder poor Vinz is confused! In case he gets hungry (or needs a facial), our 6” figure also includes a pizza slice and popcorn bucket. He may not come with coffee, but he will “have some.”

Available March 15, 2011, only on MattyCollector.com.

The inaugural Club Ecto-1 subscribers-only figure honors Ray Stantz™, the man the citizens of New York can thank for making a marshmallowy mess of their fine city. Ray is covered with the remnants of his nemesis, all the way down to the “no Ghost” platform he stands upon. Along with a glow-in-the-dark proton stream, he features an exclusive Ghostbusters™ walkie-talkie and “ecto goggles.” Available only to subscribers of 2011 Club Ecto-1, this item cannot be purchased.

Looks like you have a pretty sweet star trek shelf below as well…I'm about to display all my MArvel/Predator/Trek/Wars/ect. in the next two weeks or so, using light utility shelves from the garden cntr. @ walmart. Hope mine will come out as good as yours…

I set out to just have 1 of each, and then I bought a lot of all 4 guys (SDCC Egon not Bookstack w/ PKE) and so I ended up having 2 extra. Based on my other collections (Gears of War, Mcfarlane Baseball) I decided I'd open them up because they looked too cool to not have some out for display.

Now I buy 1 to open, 1 to keep packed and it's been working out so far. These things are too cool to keep all locked up.

GHOSTBUSTERS FANS… we want to know what you think! Which would you rather have: a ghost trap, Ray's goggles, or the proton pack? And how much would you be willing to spend for your top choice?

Yea, I was just coming here to see if there was much discussion about this matty Facebook post.

I think alot of people will go with the proton pack but already looking at FB there's some unrealistic price requests. Personally, i'd like to have the pack made and pay no more than $200 but I think even at that price the quality and accuracy would have to be quite compromised. That's the most I could afford to pay though, and even that would be questionable.

Otherwise, a ghost trap around the same cost of the PKE would be great, although again it would probably need to cost more to make it as good as it could be considering the greater detail and size in comparison to a PKE. I have no personal interest in the googles same as I did not with the PKE meter.
