I'd spend $200-250.00 on a proton pack, no questions asked.

Really, I don't think it'd be that tall of an order to make a prop version of it. I doubt it'd be 100% movie accurate, but it'd still be great to have.

I personally wouldn't care if they made a Proton Pack that wasn't 1/1 scale, as long it was life size enough to be wearable. That's probaly bring the price down a little too so…couldn't hurt I geuss.

I highly doubt a pack will be the next replica. It's just too high of a risk considering what parts and price would be involved.

A trap or goggles on the other hand make perfect sense.

I've always dreamed of having a proton pack since I was a kid, so this is awesome news that Matty has raised the possibility, after that whole Master Replicas plan disappointingly fell through. I can understand that there's a lot of focus in the fan community on building the packs, but not all of us have the time, patience or skill required to do that.

If Matty is going to go through with this, hopefully they'll do it right. And a lot of the price expectations are ridiculous; I'd be shocked if Matty managed to put out a screen accurate pack with lights and sounds for anything less than $500. However much it costs(within reason), I want a proton pack replica that looks and feels like the real thing from the movies. If this ends up happening at all, hopefully they won't decide to sacrifice too much accuracy or functionality to keep the price low.

Who knows, maybe one option to consider would be for them to make a more affordable, but lower quality version of the pack, then also a pricier and more limited edition “Ultimate Collector's” proton pack.

Athough I can't predict the end result, my gut feeling would be that we're not going to see a Proton Pack replica from Mattel. The smaller equipment props are one thing, a whole Proton Pack and Proton Gun is a different story.

And I wouldn't want them to make a replica, because I know that they'd have to make a lot of changes in order to make it cost effective, and it wouldn't surprise me if the thing was unwearable, seeing as how Master Replicas were unable to produce a Proton Pack that was wearable thanks to Rubies' inflatable one.

Mattel is going to run out of ideas for marketable props. At least from Ghostbusters.

If we see a Proton Pack at a standard anywhere near the PKE replica for around $200 then I would be incredibly surprised.

It's incredibly, incredibly unlikely.
