also, looks like Winston has an accessory there by his leg….thinking it's,perhaps, one of those laser devices they used to stop the levitaing in the jewelery store?

Yeap, it seems to be one of those laser devices…

It has been described before by matty as “Ghost Trap on Tripod”.

Looks like I'm gonna be buying Slimeblower Ray as well, suppose that makes a nice double-pack with Slimeblower Winston.

Ok, it starts off ok… but then it gets WAY too fanboy for my tastes…

I don't know… I finally got my figures yesterday, and that strikes me as a pretty fair an honest review…

The goggles aren't just small, they're ridiculously small… a good 35-40% too small. They don't even visually register as goggles… it just looks like Ray has a green box taped to his face.

The MT-500 is a weak accessory and doesn't even make sense thematically. The only time Ray uses his radio is during the Sedgwick bust. It would have been much more appropriate as a pack-in for slimmed Peter.

Matty does earn a point though for making Ray's holster look empty (so that he's not carrying two radios).

The application of the marshmallow is really lazy. Yes, adding some dimension to the goo and some additional airbrushing would have been nice, but that doesn't really bother me. What bothers me is the application pattern… stripe down left arm, stripe down front left shoulder to left foot, stripe down front right shoulder to right foot, stripe down right arm, stripe down right elbow, stripe down rear right leg, stripe down left elbow, stripe down rear left leg, with a few random blotches in the middle. There's no thought to it, there's nothing remotely realistic about it.

My final (much lesser) complaint is the clear GBII leg hose.

Vinz has his own issues (though they're less distracting), goofy leg design with poor molding and paint application, wrists joints are noticeably blue.

Now, I don't make a habit of criticizing the figures. I understand the limitations of the industry, medium, and source material. And up until now I've been very happy with the 6" line.

But these two figures just feel weak and rushed. Kudos for what Matty tried to accomplish with Vinz, and I in no way want to discourage them from trying to make other GB characters. …Ray on the other hand is a major disappointment, especially considering the hoops I had to jump through to finally get him.

In contrast I also bought two He-Man figures from Matty. I'm quite happy with their quality.
