There's no denying that the Stay Puft figure is awesome! I'm not sure i'll be able to afford one though with the shipping on top. I think my money bank will have to suffice for now and besides, I have no idea where i'd display a 20" marshmallow man!

In ToyGuru's news post over on the Matty forums, he mentioned that the SDCC items will be for sale on the website after the con. (This is not new news.) However, he went on to say that SwampThing and a MOTU figure will be alternative versions, not having items that were available only at the convention. So hopefully, because Stay-Puft was not specified like that, we will be able to buy the same version on-line that will be available at SDCC itself.

He specified every figure that would be different. Its safe to say Stay Puft will be the same on the site.

I know the latest talk is of the 20" Stay-Puft..but has anyone heard (if) what prop is next? Hoping for a lights and pedal action trap myself.(Not that I'd pass up Ecto-Goggles…)smile

Nope. Nothing yet. Mattel has said that it will be announced at SDCC, so they won't be giving any previews until then. Personally, I'm hoping we get a little view of it on preview night from a nice ghosthead who is at the event.

the Toy news international shortpacked has been hard on matty over the GBS figures.

Personally the stay puft figure does not make me wanna buy it, that is for the hardcore-big-room-for-displaying collector, it is to big and I say they are milking the line and hurting the chances of making good figures that people want.

While I don't care too much for the Stay Puft figure, we now know that they're willing to make larger sized figures. Perhaps theres a possibility of an Ecto somewhere down the line? Not necessarily one they can sit in(the attached packs would prevent that), but something more in scale with the figures for display?

It's a stretch, I know…..but a fella can dream, can't he? smile

Has anyone else seen that on the Matty site they are now asking if you want more Standard 12“ figures for $60 or if you would prefer Detailed, super high quality 12” figures for $120.

I'd prefer a bit more detail in my $60 figures. I'm not disappointed with them necessarily, but the 4 gb 12" figures I have could be a bit better in my opinion. $60 is not a small amount of money and I just feel the quality doesn't reflect the price.
