I think they used the painting to make the likeness. and the terror dog from DST

A high-resolution photo with better lighting of Vigo has surfaced, so now we better idea of the details of the figure:

he looks MUCH better to me there…and i agree,he looks more like the painting than the actor who played him…

Angry Stay Puft….only thing i got is matty.com will re-release him later on their site as a non-con exclusive,only with this different,angry head-sculpt,and probably not the whole diorama and shit too….kinda makes sense to me, they probably spent enough making the mold for him and fabricating the soft outer body and such…they'll want to get as much mileage out of it as possible….

Vigo wouldn't be the first prototype to be displayed at SDCC, remember that Vinz Clortho was completely grey.

I imagine we'll see the colours, and possibly the head sculpt shift between now and the release… but even if it doesn't change between then and now, I'm still going to be getting him.

No doubt. He'll definitely change between now and release. I'm not complaining really, just questioning why his hair is a different color. At least Vinz was a complete grey sculpture. Vigo's body is painted to the proper colors. So why isn't his hair?

Again, It's not really an issue. Just a question. The figure is great, imo.

it doesn't matter I think at least matty can hear thos little details and take them to consideration or is paint to expensive to fix this? anyway in can't wait to tomorrow to know the club exclusive for certain and to know wich are the rest of the figures of this year. I saw at the fwoosh.com that Vigo may be the final figure of this years sub.

And if the rookie is the sub exclusive for real i hope they have a prototype pic or something.

Just a quick comment on the Vigo fig likeness:

The actor's no longer around to yea/nea the likeness. So there's the next best thing–get as close as possible without risking the ire of his heirs.

And, again, in the interest of quality, they are always improving the product; as such, images on the packaging my not exactly match the final product. Or something like that.

Not sure if the Vigo accessory was shown yet here but anyways…

He is the final figure in this year's subscription.

Makes me so much happier that I actually bought my subscriptions this year. I think I'll be only getting one next year though… I sold off my MOC collection… there's just not enough room for all of these!

It makes me chuckle that they squeezed “Scourge of Carpathia, Sorrow of Moldavia” onto Vigo's box.

Can't wait until the Matty panel so we can see the other reveals and get some more details. Hopefully there's a reverse side to that painting and maybe a small pack-in of some sort.
